Focaccia Bread Recipe
- 3 1/4 cups all purpose flour
- 2 1/4 tsp. rapid rise yeast
- 1 Tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil (divided)
- 1 2/3 cup hot water (120-130 degrees)
- 2 Tablespoons shredded Parmesan Cheese
- 1 Tablespoon Italian seasoning
- Garlic salt
- Mix flour, yeast, sugar and salt in a large bowl. Add 2 Tablespoons olive oil and water, stirring until well mixed. Spread dough in a greased 9×13 inch pan. Cover and let rise til double, about 30 minutes.
- Poke multiple holes into dough with the handle of a wooden spoon and drizzle 2 Tablespoons olive oil over dough.
- Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, Italian herbs and garlic salt.
- Cover and let rise another 15 minutes while oven heats to 375 degrees,
- Bake 30-35 minutes until golden brown. Cool slightly and cut into slices.
- Serve warm with additional oil for dipping sauce if desired.
