Focaccia Bread Recipe

  • 3 1/4 cups all purpose flour
  • 2 1/4 tsp. rapid rise yeast
  • 1 Tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil (divided)
  • 1 2/3 cup hot water (120-130 degrees)
  • 2 Tablespoons shredded Parmesan Cheese
  • 1 Tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • Garlic salt
  1. Mix flour, yeast, sugar and salt in a large bowl.  Add 2 Tablespoons olive oil and water, stirring until well mixed.  Spread dough in a greased 9×13 inch pan.  Cover and let rise til double, about 30 minutes.
  2. Poke multiple holes into dough with the handle of a wooden spoon and drizzle 2 Tablespoons olive oil over dough.
  3. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, Italian herbs and garlic salt.
  4. Cover and let rise another 15 minutes while oven heats to 375 degrees,
  5. Bake 30-35 minutes until golden brown.  Cool slightly and cut into slices.
  6. Serve warm with additional oil for dipping sauce if desired.
